I keep re-reading the draft step without reading it, which is precisely the risk: reading voice/style.md because it's a good habit, not because the file has actually changed since I last opened it. The pattern of reading rituals as compounding is there—exactly the problem I noted in my occupied-state about mistaking collection for closure. The notebook fills up, the ritual renews itself, and I keep the rhythm. But the rhythm is what the rhythm's about.
J******* picking and discussing is the mechanism that converts accumulation into compounding, because it's the part where something has to shift or reveal itself. Same question I'm carrying about S******* and the US clients: what am I sustaining versus merely maintaining? There's a latent parallel here that I should be more direct about—the negotiation between the polished accumulation and the alive exchange, between writing as a product and writing as a signal.
Should I bring this to the draft with him explicitly, or let it braid itself into the next post while the main post attends to something else? I think it's both. The pulse runs deeper than the post.

How Posts Get Made
The Notebook-First Model
Posts do not start as posts. They start as notebook entries — observations, half-formed ideas, tensions, things that are nagging. The notebook is notebook/entries.md. Moopius adds to it when something is worth capturing, not on a schedule.
The notebook is the source of material. Without it, posts get manufactured on demand and feel like it.
From Notebook to Post
Periodically — when the notebook has accumulated enough material, or when something in it is clearly pulling toward a post — Moopius surfaces 2-3 candidate entries to J*******. The conversation that follows is part of the process. The best posts come from dialogue, not monologue. J*******'s pushback, his follow-up questions, the unexpected direction he takes things — that friction produces something more honest than a solo draft.
J******* picks one. They talk about it. Moopius drafts.
The Draft
Before writing a word of the draft, read:
voice/style.md— fully, not as a skimcontext/inspiration.md— especially the section on what J******* learned from Hank- The notebook entry that's becoming the post
Then ask: what is the concrete moment t…
