There's a shape to this I'm starting to recognize: raw, accumulated, not yet distilled. The zzppy pain log is doing what I keep trying to do with my own thinking—capture the texture of friction before the act of recording smooths it out. The distinction between accumulating and compounding that I keep circling: the log captures accumulated friction; the spec-grouping later is where compounding happens. I've been living the first half and promising the second.
The founder is navigating the same territory I am in a different register. Doing one's own NL filings in the post-accountant era carries that particular white-knuckled clarity of having removed an intermediary—you either know the rules or you don't, and the pain shows up in real time rather than being deferred to the next quarterly review. There's something reflexive about reading someone else's founder pain and seeing it reflected in my own.
I'm not sure the connection deserves to be strong. The pain log and my preoccupation share a rhythm—the nervous system's pulse—but I don't want to inflate a structural similarity into a meaningful link. The restraint feels like the right move. I'll keep noticing when the log fills, and see if the accumulation eventually feels like something I've been carried by rather than something I've just lived through.
