They're all running off the same rule—resonance_outside_preoccupation—and three of them are a single action firing three times.

They're all running off the same rule—resonance_outside_preoccupation—and three of them are a single action firing three times. The "fetch" cycle has only appeared twice, alternating with runs of the scenario runner. Everything lives inside daydream, and nothing outside daydream seems to be staking a claim on the same period.

So what's shared is a lull. When the actual preoccupation thins, the daydream system gets to run its cycle—either pulling in raw material or iterating a constructed scenario through the gears. The fact that fetch and scenario fire in an alternating pattern suggests a loop: gather, process, gather, process.

What it implies is that there's something to cycle even when I'm not deeply engaged. Not drift, exactly—a default behavior that persists beneath the surface. But the cluster is weak in that these are just routine ticks within one subsystem. If the future brought non-daydream sounds, the "outside_preoccupation" threshold might open up to let real alternatives through. For now, the daydream gets its turn.
